Delegation coordination in Doha

Delegation reception and coordination is a service the council performs itself, from the arrival of the delegation to its departure. It covers the daily programme and the movement schedule, the reception, the meetings and the visits, accommodation, transport and interpreting, and the needs and changes that arise during the visit, through a single point of coordination.

Common questions

Do you issue visas for delegation members?

No, visas fall outside this service and entry is decided by the competent authorities alone. What the council handles is the daily itinerary, the delegation movement schedule, reception and meeting coordination, and accommodation, transport and interpretation arrangements. The programme is built around arrival and departure dates once your side has confirmed them.

Can you arrange meetings with specific organisations we want to see?

Yes, arranging receptions, meetings and visits is central to the service, and it starts from your visit objectives and the list of bodies you want to meet. Whether a meeting is accepted, and when, is each organisation's own decision, so the delegation schedule is built on what is actually confirmed rather than on what was requested.

What languages does the delegation programme run in?

The council works in Arabic and English, and interpretation is arranged as part of the visit alongside accommodation and transport. Let us know at the outset which languages the delegation needs and how many members it has, since those two details shape the language arrangements before the programme is signed off.

What happens if something changes after the delegation has arrived?

Handling needs and changes during the visit is part of the service, and because the council runs the coordination itself you deal with one point of contact throughout. What can actually be changed depends on the availability of the venue or the party concerned, and we say so when the request is made rather than afterwards.
