Do you clear the shipment yourselves?
No, the council does not perform clearance. This is a coordinated service in which we organise the shipment's information and documents, work with the broker and the service provider, and follow up on status and collection requirements. The clearance itself is filed by a licensed broker before the official authorities.
Can you guarantee the shipment will be released?
No, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise: release is not ours to decide. Customs procedures remain subject to the regulations, the official authorities and the licensed brokers that apply to each case, and they determine both the outcome and the timing. What we take on is organising the documents, identifying what is missing with the specialist, and keeping you updated.
What documents will we need?
The set depends on the goods, the country of origin and the entry point, so there is no single list that fits every shipment. We start from what you already hold, and the gaps are reviewed with the specialist ahead of arrival rather than after it. That is why the goods description, shipment size and arrival date are asked for at the outset.
Do you follow the shipment through to collection?
We track status updates and collection requirements and pass them to you, acting as the coordination point between you, the broker and the service provider. The updates originate with the authorities and the broker, so we relay them; we neither issue them nor control when they arrive.
